PROCESSES THAT MAY EFFECT PRICING ON IMPORTATION:

STEAM CLEANING - if the vehicle is dirty AQIS will request the vehicle to be steam cleaned which is at the importers expense

AQIS INSPECTION - all vehicles imported into Australia as subject to AQIS and ACS insepctions - the costs of these inspections are additional to normal Clearance costs.

INCORRECT PAPERWORK - it is important that importers have copies of commercial invoices, ownership papers to ensure ease of Customs Formalities - modifications to standard motor vehicles should be noted.

INCLUSION OF PERSONAL EFFECTS/SPARES IN VEHICLES - while this is permissible it should be noted that there will be a separate customs entry required and that all items should be manifested as this will be scrutinised by both Customs and Quarantine - any items not manifested will be subject to examination and may cause undue delays which will result in extra storage charges and possible rejection by shipping lines - please also note RO/RO operators will not take loose items in vehicles whne shipping.
